The wood fired oven is the heart of the kitchen.
Where can you get delicious Italian / American cuisine, authentic napoletana pizza from a wood fired stone oven and also eat it in an actual former bank safe? The Vault in Bordentown, of course. Donít like tight spaces? Not to worry, The Vault has an airy, open feel, yet warm and inviting. The heart of the restaurant is the wood fired oven, where true magic happens.
Alicia and I had fresh, tasty salads followed by delicious, piping hot pizza. We two dined well for under $30, and will be back again and again.
Afterward, we headed over to Smylies for homemade ice cream, but thatís another review to come.
The Vault, which is BYOB, is located at 300 Farnsworth Avenue in Bordentown. Phone: 609-291-9000.
One unique option is to dine in the antique safe, built in 1876 - with the door open!
The dining room is light and open.
The pizza was warm, fresh and delicious.
The salad could be a meal in itself, crisp, tasty and filling.
